Expanding Horizons and Expanded Resource

Expanding Horizons
Expanding Horizons promotes ongoing issues of global exchange and ideas with children facing diversity situations. Organizations such as world famous radio page and broadcast conversations share insights of Early Childhood professional around the world.

Recent studies found it on the global Foundation of children website, provides actions of what we can do, grants, getting involved, blog and multimedia information. This website allows a person around the world to stay connected with current issues concerning early childhood. An issue that inspire me to seek for more awareness was “getting kids out of work and into the classroom” by Eva Miller.

An estimated 168 million children work globally, 85 million of whom are in hazardous work. (The Global Fund for Children). Family members and children oppressed to working rather than providing opportunities for their child education. Living in the United States, Child Labor Act prohibit children to work, especially in harsh conditions. (No brakes, hazardous working environment, forced to work and many other conditions)

Friends of Haiti, Port-au-Prince country capital help support rural  families opportunities for better housing, better lifestyles, food and opportunities of education. I'm thankful to come across a variety of countries in the field of Early Childhood issues and trends.
