Uplifting Stories

In the field of early childhood imagine that educators can focus on curriculum software rather than lose valuable time assassin each individual child in the classroom. From my experience working in the Head Start program the number of students can fluctuate from 15 to 21 students at a time. Teacher assistants are constantly taking data and observing children's learning in real time.

Examples of

  • Capturing conversations
  • Asking engaging questions
  • Letting the individual communicate, Expressions, feelings, emotions
  • Observing cognitive and emotional delays
  • And much more

All this takes times to observe the individual child and response according to the situation. There's a lot of software programs for children to experience maximum growth opportunities while using a tablet, computer, and other devices.

From my experience, the software program that I recommend is called Lexia Reading Core5. Not only as a software engaging and motivating for students it is also kid friendly. Educators should invest in their child's curriculum, in which Lexia Reading Core5 provides worksheets, charts, data and assessments built within the program. Something I would have invest in a Head Start program or any other organizations.

My Personal Research Journey

On this complex Journey, a finding research that is reliable versus non-credited resources is an I open it for myself. Personally, I have the opportunity to meet and speak with Dr. Adolph Brown in person. He has shared his experience growing up in the Head Start program along with his hopes and fears and challenges of life. His inspiration words of “real talk” are something that I would like to pass on to young Educators in the field of early childhood. The struggles of life can be overwhelming and buried at times, if only one person (myself) is willing to make a difference in the individual life as early as 3 years old, I’m willing to listen and support learning opportunities for all children. Working together, playing together, we can accomplish more than one standing alone.
After listening to the song Somewhere Over the Rainbow, what were your initial thoughts of supporting young children? Hopefully, the song inspires you to think of all ages and opportunities to be an encouragement?
