Uplifting Stories

In the field of early childhood imagine that educators can focus on curriculum software rather than lose valuable time assassin each individual child in the classroom. From my experience working in the Head Start program the number of students can fluctuate from 15 to 21 students at a time. Teacher assistants are constantly taking data and observing children's learning in real time.

Examples of

  • Capturing conversations
  • Asking engaging questions
  • Letting the individual communicate, Expressions, feelings, emotions
  • Observing cognitive and emotional delays
  • And much more

All this takes times to observe the individual child and response according to the situation. There's a lot of software programs for children to experience maximum growth opportunities while using a tablet, computer, and other devices.

From my experience, the software program that I recommend is called Lexia Reading Core5. Not only as a software engaging and motivating for students it is also kid friendly. Educators should invest in their child's curriculum, in which Lexia Reading Core5 provides worksheets, charts, data and assessments built within the program. Something I would have invest in a Head Start program or any other organizations.

It was interesting reading about your post and the program offered to help children receive different learning opportunities. What is the privacy statement for the assessments that are made from the children's work? Is this also a program that parents should consent for?

Hi Monica,

What a magnificent topic, technology. Thus far, I have viewed research and support as face to face but in today's society, technology is definitely a, means to meeting the needs and experiences of young parents, educators, and researchers. Have you considered a research study to support technology versus written documentation as it relates to its effectiveness in supporting a teacher's time management regarding assessments?

Hello Mohan!
I like that software that you found. I think I will invest in it. I am teaching my grand-daughter at home. She is very smart. She is easy to teach that make it easy for me to teach. she is three. Do you think she is too young for that type of software.

I believe the new wave of twenty-first-century is educating our youth with the available resources such as technology. Technology is a tool that can be usefully dealt in the proper way. Early interventions with reading Lexia Core 5 help promote reading, literacy and other components of writing and reading together. Lexia Core 5 has components of assessing early interventions and support with documentation, assessment goals, worksheets and other identification needed. Early start equal best results.

Hello Mohan, Wow this was a very informative blog. I like the software you mentioned in your blog. Technology is something all educators should embrace in the learning environment. I say this because most children are capable of playing games on computers, tablets and cell phones. I enjoy using Starfall.com in my Pre-K classroom
