Tulare Country of Office Education is funded through the California Department of Education programs such as Head Start, Early Head Start, and Migrant Head Start by 2007. The early education, development, and child care programs offered by Tulare County Office of Education – Early Childhood Education Program serve children ages 0 through 12 years. Once a child reaches his/her 13th birthday, services will no longer be provided for the child unless the child has an exceptional need requiring on-going adult supervision documented through an Individualized Education Plan (IEP). Individualized Education Program
There are few things that I noticed working in the Head Start program as far as student engagement and assessments found throughout the program. Educators are instructed to follow the DRDP. Which is an assessment of instrument reflecting the child's learning, development, and progress during the transitional kindergarten/ kindergarten year?
And if there's any questions or concerns regarding behavior, services, early childhood and parent involvement there's a staff development opportunity calendar that provides training on any given topic with support.

I looked at the Behavioral Health Services brochure and found out that 7500 children have been or are serviced through the Tulare County school district. But families can also get help from BHS either by getting group training or other support services. It's great to know that there were 3 levels that your child's behavioral issues could be categorized in and all children would be treated or seen by a professional and not a student pretending to be a doctor. This has opened my eyes and made me think about the children that I teach, not all children need medication but maybe just someone to talk to.
Great resources. I also previewed the Behavioral Health Services brochure and it is very informative. I also work for a Head Start Program, however, our resources are not published on line, this is something I will present to our behavior specialist as it gives direct access to the needed resources without having to rely on hard copies from a binder. You mentioned that your program uses the DRDP for assessment I would like to learn more about this program. Our program uses the PALS, DAIL4 and Work Sampling Online.
