My Personal Research Journey

On this complex Journey, a finding research that is reliable versus non-credited resources is an I open it for myself. Personally, I have the opportunity to meet and speak with Dr. Adolph Brown in person. He has shared his experience growing up in the Head Start program along with his hopes and fears and challenges of life. His inspiration words of “real talk” are something that I would like to pass on to young Educators in the field of early childhood. The struggles of life can be overwhelming and buried at times, if only one person (myself) is willing to make a difference in the individual life as early as 3 years old, I’m willing to listen and support learning opportunities for all children. Working together, playing together, we can accomplish more than one standing alone.
After listening to the song Somewhere Over the Rainbow, what were your initial thoughts of supporting young children? Hopefully, the song inspires you to think of all ages and opportunities to be an encouragement?

Professional Goals, Hopes and Dreams

In the surrounding area of Porterville California, I'm willing to invest in quality care in the field of early childhood. I'm positioning myself to be an educator for your young adults in the field of early childhood. Speaking with local colleges in the area, resources from Tulare County Office education, and college professors. I believe that's professional in the field of early childhood one must take a risk to understand our young vision.
Overcoming these obstacles of opportunities in the community may involve networking with others. Networking with professors at local colleges such as College of Sequoia, Porterville College, Bakersfield College, Reedley College, Westhill College also with international resources is a part of a success pathway of life. Through collaborations, one may experience the wealth of knowledge in the field of early childhood programs and facilities.

What I plan to achieve in my professional growth is not to be the most popular person in the field of education, however, be diverse when dealing with family members and children in the field of early childhood. Creating a positive relationship of trust with families, being reliable with resources that support families trends.
In which brings to hopes dreams and challenges in the field of early childhood. My hope is to empower the community families, Educators, and schools regarding early inventions strategies. My dream is to share “our visions” with one another in an adult setting. Empowering young Educators and family members through their experience/walk of early childhood exposure. In which, willing to be  exposed to many different challenges regarding race, gender, sex or age diversities situation in early childhood. My pursuit of happiness.
Working in the field of early childhood educators are faced with new challenges every year. Whether that's family, policies and procedures and local community affairs. Collaboration is one step closer to achieving a common goal.

Sharing Web Resources

Tulare Country of Office Education is funded through the California Department of Education programs such as Head Start, Early Head Start, and Migrant Head Start by  2007. The early education, development, and child care programs offered by Tulare County Office of Education – Early Childhood Education Program serve children ages 0 through 12 years. Once a child reaches his/her 13th birthday, services will no longer be provided for the child unless the child has an exceptional need requiring on-going adult supervision documented through an Individualized Education Plan (IEP). Individualized Education Program

There are few things that I noticed working in the Head Start program as far as student engagement and assessments found throughout the program. Educators are instructed to follow the DRDP. Which is an assessment of instrument reflecting the child's learning, development, and progress during the transitional kindergarten/ kindergarten year?

And if there's any questions or concerns regarding behavior, services, early childhood and parent involvement there's a staff development opportunity calendar that provides training on any given topic with support.

Getting to Know

Children poverty and social protection
Children should be protected from poverty, especially in the early stage of life. Perhaps if a child is exposed to poverty issues, they might experience through adult life. In fact, poverty issues can be passed on from generation to generation without proper education. UNICEF is working to more fully understand how and where children are experiencing poverty, to allow a more nuanced set of policy responses in national mechanisms such as poverty-reduction strategies. (UNICEF).

Global Studies on child poverty addresses the health, education, and protection needed for children living with poor vulnerable households, unsure circumstances and disadvantaged communities. Networking with other countries to help educate young children and family members strategies, programs to overcome poverty lifestyle. With support from a number of experts and international research centers, the social policy and economic analysis unit in UNICEF's division of policy and planning created a comprehensive Global Study Guide to help carry out the study in each participating country. (UNICEF).

Expanding Horizons and Expanded Resource

Expanding Horizons
Expanding Horizons promotes ongoing issues of global exchange and ideas with children facing diversity situations. Organizations such as world famous radio page and broadcast conversations share insights of Early Childhood professional around the world.

Recent studies found it on the global Foundation of children website, provides actions of what we can do, grants, getting involved, blog and multimedia information. This website allows a person around the world to stay connected with current issues concerning early childhood. An issue that inspire me to seek for more awareness was “getting kids out of work and into the classroom” by Eva Miller.

An estimated 168 million children work globally, 85 million of whom are in hazardous work. (The Global Fund for Children). Family members and children oppressed to working rather than providing opportunities for their child education. Living in the United States, Child Labor Act prohibit children to work, especially in harsh conditions. (No brakes, hazardous working environment, forced to work and many other conditions)

Friends of Haiti, Port-au-Prince country capital help support rural  families opportunities for better housing, better lifestyles, food and opportunities of education. I'm thankful to come across a variety of countries in the field of Early Childhood issues and trends.

My support

Sense of belonging
A child feels a sense of belonging with their parents or caregivers throughout infant stage and beyond. Developing a security relationship that is created upon Trust, accepting, Loving Care, and open and honest. If a parent or caregiver establish lease healthy relationships of belonging, daily routines of going grocery shopping, creating chores, communicating with family and friends are all great examples of daily routines model by parents and caregiver.

Threat of leaving child
Perhaps parents and caregivers need to be mindful of what they say and their actions around children at any age. If a child feels threatened by their parents or caregivers of abandonment these symptoms may cause anxieties, withdrawals from social interaction and even behaviors of acting out. Children often fail to disengage when parents or caregivers I'm not providing sensations of emotion, love, and care. Leaving the child to respond to survival mode instincts rather than passion and caring atmosphere. Some of the action can incur with bullying other students, fighting withdrawal from adult conversations.

Being proactive:
Taking responsibility for my actions and asking appropriate questions to gain knowledge.

Begin with the end in mind:
Overall looking at the big picture rather than make any assumptions with first initial thoughts.

Put first thing first:
Prioritizing things that are important opposed to things I want now

Think win, win:
When applying/support and idea have a positive outlook and attitude

Seek first to understand then to be understood:
Listen more to the person  conversation,  asking questions

Synergy:
Working together for the common good

Sharpen the saw:
Taking my own perception are the equations to allow productive criticism and alterations.

Below there's a picture of a classroom, see if you can identify me wearing a white t-shirt. Although that I'm confident about my upbringing and myself. There are still some areas that I wish my father that I've been there to support me, understanding growth spurts, puberty, how to treat a lady, daily routines of grooming, attend church, how to treat your wife and what is life all about.
